The Avengers: Endgame co-author Stephen McFeely reveals that he has re-visited the film with another Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ultimately, the decision will return over time and become the first Avengers movie, probably the best. MCU fans were excited to see Tony Stark, Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers, but the Smart Hulk came back to the New York War, although he wasn't too happy to see things that had destroyed his past things aggressively and brainlessly. The idea was to bring Iron Man into Thor's world.
Stephen McFeely admits that the Avengers: Endgame's first plan was to take Iron Man back to Thor: The Dark World to secure Tesseract. Even Chris Hemsworth acknowledges that Thor is not the best, and many MCU fans are at the bottom of his list. However, as McFeely pointed out, there was a logistical reason to bring Tony Stark to Asgard. He was gonna say that.
Finally, the creative team made the best decision for where they got the Avengers: Endgame and Tesseract. It would be great to see Idris Elba return to an MCU after the murder of Heimdall by Thanos at the beginning of the Battle of Infinity. There were enough stars in the Endgame, so no matter how many fans would be happy.
New Yorkallowed Tom Hiddleston's chance to return to the Battle of Loki. The fans were excited to see the God of Mischief coming back and confirmed that the character still existed in an alternative reality after escaping. Loki was killed by Thanos at the beginning of the Eternal War, as his brother Thor watched helplessly. Loki tried his best to get Thanos out, but it was Heimdall who sent the Hulk back to Earth to warn everyone about Mad Titan.
Undefeated: Endgame adds a lot to the three-hour run, but it still left fans wanting more. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely were able to connect things in a very satisfactory way. When it's time to decide whether or not to kill Tony Stark, McFeely reveals that the studio left it to them to decide. So, after five years, the writers and Russo Brothers decided that the story was told, which is another reason why it was wise to go back to the first Avengers movie.
